Dental patients warned of the health dangers of cheap X-ray machines

Cheap dental x-ray machines pose a great amount of risk for health care industries. Dentists and staff members have been warned not to expose the patients to X-ray devices that emit harmful radiations. All those medical machines that are sold online may have negative impacts and affects when patient is exposed to them.

There is a cheap machine, called The Tianjie Dental Falcon, could cause significant risk not only to patients but also to dentists, person operating it, and dental nurses. The radiation from the device can also create chances of cancer and permanent damage of body organs, depending on the time period of exposure.

All national and private Healthcare Regulatory Agencies have banned the use of important hand-held X-ray machines; they are also requesting dentists to stop using these cheap devices into their regular clinical set-up. Orders have been issued to dispose off all devices. Medical authorities don’t have any records as how many patients have already been affected yet proper practices are conducted to protect further damage.

After checking the records, concerned healthcare authority found that 13-machines have been sold so far and majority was sold to the customers through a famous online store Ebay. Manufactured by a Chinese company, the device has been banned and seized for further distribution on the marketplace.

The scanner can be purchased at a cheap price of $210 while a quality device costs more than $3500. Officials also confirmed that one UK-based dental hospital had purchased one of these malicious machines and the staff was showing interest in buying more from the Chinese manufacturer.

It is also essential for the dentist to check for the dental machines properly before buying, to ensure that they are secure for the medical practices and pose no risk to anyone. Barry Cockcroft is the chief dental officer of UK; he is urging all dental professionals to be cautious while purchasing medical equipments as they could be dangerous when bought from unapproved resources.
